Market leader BASF supports recent Cement and Concrete technical conferences
Sustainability in concrete mix design and production highlighted in well received technical papers
As global and regional market leaders in concrete admixtures technologies, BASF has recently strongly supported two related international concrete technology conferences in the region.
On November 20th to 22nd, BASF participated at the First International Conference on Cement and Concrete Technology in Muscat as core sponsors. Organized by the Institute of Concrete Technology, whose goal is to promote concrete technology as a recognized engineering discipline and consolidate the professional status of practicing concrete technologists, this event's theme was Concrete for the Modern Age. With a conference focus on developments in materials and processes, BASF took the chance to present various papers on its latest innovative and sustainable solutions.
In line with the goals of the Dubai Government, Sustainability, Environmental Product Declarations, Life Cycle Analysis and quality control of concrete were the main themes of the International Concrete Technology Forum took place on December 5th and 6th, 2017 in Dubai UAE. BASF supported the event as platinum sponsor for the second year. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Sven Asmus, Global Business Segment Manager traveled from Germany make a presentation, Sustainability in Concrete, which was well received by the knowledgeable audience. BASF was also strongly represented in panel discussions and was also able to showcase its technologies in the aligned exhibition hall.
