The background
The challenge
These beautiful luxury apartments were designed with a basement parking area and a tranquil relaxation area with vegetation on top of the basement. Therefore the client required a water tight system for the basement parking to ensure that the tenant’s vehicles are protected. We also had to keep in mind that the system recommended should be able to withstand root penetration as the area above the basement was to be landscaped.
Our solution
The recommendation was a synthetic membrane, MasterSeal 700 BG, which prevent root penetration, and allows for quick and easy installation. Further benefits of the product includes:
- Resistance to bursting at high water pressure
- High mechanical resistant and elasticity
- Long life expectancy
MasterSeal 550 was used as a sacrificial temporary waterproofer. MasterSeal 930 was used on expansion joints prior to the installation of the 700 BG ensuring a „belts and braces“ system over the expansion joints.
