Master Builders Solutions partners up with SIAC to implement the first LEED Platinum bank HQ in the area
Master Builders Solutions is proud to announce being the success partner of SIAC Construction in implementing the first and only LEED Platinum bank HQ in the area, using Master Builders Solutions unique Green Sense® Concrete concept. (LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building types, LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. The highest LEED certification is LEED Platinum).
The new headquarter of "National Bank of Egypt" is in the most prestigious area in Central Business District, the new administrative capital. It is a class “A" magnificently designed Administrative Building with a total built-up area of 39,000 m2.
The full skeleton is now completed before the planned time schedule. This is the first project of its kind in Egypt to have an all concrete structure using the Green Sense® concrete technology and concept as an optimized mixture program in which recycled cementitious and non-cementitious materials are used in combination with specially formulated Master Builders Solutions admixtures. The concept was implemented led by our great Master Builders Solutions Green Sense® Admixtures Concrete team in Egypt in partnership with SIAC Construction.

The Green Sense® concrete concept is an innovative technology for improving the eco-balance and enhancing the engineering properties of concrete to meet the sustainability criteria. Green Sense® concrete technology aims to increase the amount of the recycled and waste materials to lowers energy demands, CO2 emissions and other environmental impacts per unit volume of concrete produced. in addition to, using recycled materials and fillers also reduces the amount of natural resource and reduce the landfill waste.
The environmental friendly concept, include many tangible benefits which can be realized by the entire construction team such as: Optimized and economical concrete composition cost, Faster truck discharge, Desired setting time, slump retention, and strength performance, No water needed at jobsite – less performance issues / call-backs due to water addition, Highly workable concrete, Good pumpability and finishing characteristics, Faster placement and production, Desired durability performance, Lower shrinkage and cracking potential, and Contributes toward sustainability credit schemes.
The Green Sense® concrete mixtures used in this project was manufactured of our MasterGlenium range, a new generation unique solution of high-range water-reducing admixtures that are specially formulated for Green Sense® concrete mixtures where slump retention, high/early strengths and durability are required.
This solution is an unrivalled technology that excels in high performance areas such as high strength concrete, pumpability, self-consolidating concrete, low permeability, low water absorption concrete and low shrinkage applications. Its technology provides excellent concrete performance in both the fresh and hardened states with appealing surface appearances. Based on the latest generation of polymer technology, the MasterGlenium range admixture portfolio is made up of many customized and tailored polymers. This wide-range of solutions provides an unmatched space for producers to meet performance and placement challenges.
