Exclusive distributorship with BioClad™ UK announced

Unique, antimicrobial PVC wall cladding systems ideal for food and beverage, pharmacautical, healthcare and other critical industries

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 12, 2017 – BASF Construction Chemicals and BioClad are delighted to announce that as of October 1st 2017 BASF Construction Chemicals have been awarded the exclusive sales rights in the G.C.C. countries (excluding Kuwait) for the BioClad® antimicrobial PVC wall cladding systems, the world’s first such wall system incorporating BioCote® technology.

BioCote antimicrobial silver-ion technology kills bacteria by 99.9% and is proven effective against E.Coli, MRSA and Influenza, allowing BioClad products to create a fully hygienic  environment. This provides full depth, virtually seamless (joints are securely welded) antimicrobial protection, guaranteed for the lifetime of the PVC sheet. BioClad’s BioArmis antimicrobial wall protection sheets will also be stocked, alongside a full range of accessories including high-impact resistant corner guards, two component low VOC polyurethane adhesives and edge trims. The BioClad systems are extensively tested and approved by health and food manufacturing authorities around the globe including the UK NHS, HACCP, USDA and FDA.

The addition of the unique BioClad range to the BASF product offer means that their loyal and rapidly expanding, customer base for Ucrete and MasterTop® resin flooring systems, in the food and beverage manufacturing, catering, pharmaceutical, healthcare and other critical industries, can now source their complete hygienic floor and wall covering needs from a single supplier.

“The addition of this unique, high-quality, technical solution will bring many benefits to our valued customers, and beautifully complements our existing range of materials” says Brian Williams, Marketing Manager, Middle East.

Mr. Lindsay McKenzie, Managing Director of BioClad said: “We are delighted to be partnering with such a well established, global player such as BASF who not only have proven complementary products but also have an excellent reputation for customer care, site service and technical support throughout the region.”
