Ultra-high-strength cementitious precision grout for high impact and dynamic load bearing
Fixing heavy machinery demands a long-lasting grout that can withstand the ongoing impact of a heavy load and vibration while providing an excellent bond to steel and concrete. MasterFlow 4800 responds to these needs, providing an ultra-high-strength solution.
What is MasterFlow 4800?
MasterFlow 4800 is a one-part, cement-based, metallic aggregate reinforced, non-shrink, ultra high strength precision grout. It uses binder technology and mineral aggregate combination for very high toughness, durability and ultra-high early strengths.
Where to use MasterFlow 4800?
MasterFlow 4800 withstands very heavy static and dynamic loads in industrial applications, delivering long-term performance. It is designed for use in assembling and fixing high-rotating industrial turbines, generators and compressors, rolling, stamping, grinding, drawing and finishing mills.
This grout is also suitable for assembling forging hammers, rail tracks, crane rails, paper machine sole plates, and other machinery and equipment requiring high strength maximum bearing, even in harsh environments. It has an extended application season covering wintertime, giving owners and applicators more flexibility regarding installation.
What makes MasterFlow 4800 different?
MasterFlow 4800 is formulated with special binders and reinforced with recycled metallic aggregate. It has ultra-high ultimate and early compressive, flexural and tensile strengths, and high toughness and impact resistance under dynamic and repetitive loading. MasterFlow 4800 is water-impermeable and resistant against weathering actions.
MasterFlow 4800 can be applied in various grouting details without multiple layer applications or adding any additional gravel. The grout’s very high early strengths allow for full loading in 24 hours (at 20°C), bringing economies through shorter downtimes and potential earnings from quicker start-ups.
MasterFlow 4800 hardens free of segregation, settlement or curing shrinkage when mixed, placed and cured. It can be applied down to +2°C and in thicknesses ranging from 20 -150mm. Expansion of the grout is controlled and its formulation provides excellent adhesion to steel and concrete, allowing the full transmission of loads and increasing machinery’s operational safety.
MasterFlow 4800 is certified in accordance with EN 1504-6. Due to its recycled metallic aggregate content, MasterFlow 4800 contributes to LEED points.
