The background
LIuvia Confectionary Factory Project is the first production facility set up by Mitsubishi Corp & Capital Diamond Star Group (C.D.S.G) Joint Venture.
It is one of the biggest confectionary factory in Myanmar to produce confectionary and bakery products for local consumption. Original specifications called for a self-leveling epoxy floor for the production area, where there is a line-up of ovens for commercial bakery plant.
The project timeline was short and the main contractor was looking for a fast turn-around, matt finished system to squeeze the installation duration.
The challenge
Overall project period was limited to two months for the construction of the entire 8,000 m2 building including surface preparation and coving works for the flooring system.
Climatic condition is the main challenge in Yangon as ambient moisture is relatively high due to rainy days which greatly affect the whole construction process for concreting and getting the substrates ready for the floor installation.
LIuvia Confectionary also requires a durable and highly-cleanable, hygienic floor with matt finished which can resist constant heat from the ovens.
Our solution
Ucrete MF is self-leveling polyurethane resin floor with matt finishing which matched the project specification. It is HACCP approved and highly cleanable (almost to stainless steel grade)with heat resistant properties out-performing epoxy flooring. Ucrete MF is moisture tolerant and fast in turn-around time for installation which helps to meet the project deadline.
