    Classic cars. Masterwork floors.

When you own a dream collection of classic cars in Toronto, you may also want a dream storage area to both showcase, and work on your magnum opus automobiles. You need a private showroom which includes a flooring system that balances aesthetics and function to best complement a broad assortment of vehicles that span a century of auto evolution.

Master Builders Solutions met this challenge and balanced the customer’s needs with its MasterTop products designed to stand-up to the mess, and corrosive elements of automobile maintenance (motor oil, gas, lubricants, paint, detergent, etc.) while adding to the exhibit-like character of the space.

This quintessential car collection includes century old Buick and Chevrolet Roadsters, a Pierce Arrow and Mercury M47 from the 1930s, a classic Mack and milk truck, alongside more contemporary coveted sports cars like Porsche, Lotus, Jaguar, and Aston Martin.

What other MasterTop Products where used in this Garage?

MasterTop 1234 CF Decorative Flake broadcast epoxy with UV stable polyurethane topcoat (TC 493) was used in the collector’s showroom. MasterTop 1213 high build epoxy, also with topcoat TC 493 was used in the wash bay area.

MasterTop 1234 is designed for added slip resistance, an important factor when you consider the viscous fluids that might leak from old (and new) automobiles. It’s also perfect for a broad in-service temperature range (0° – 170° F /-18° – 76° C) and has good chemical resistance.

MasterTop 1213 is intended for automotive service areas (as well as warehouses, laboratories, and other commercial applications) where a high level of abrasion and chemical resistance is needed.

Both MasterTop product installations included the TC 493 polyurethane coating offering additional color and UV stability. It also adds variable slip resistance to meet a customer’s specific requirements and makes the surface easy to clean and maintain.

Our customer’s journey successfully completed by combining 100 years of collectible automobiles with 100 years of Master Builders Solutions experience. * He got a private showroom displaying form, function and history sitting on the foundation of today’s advanced flooring.

    * Chemist S.W. Flesheim started the company that would become Master Builders Solutions in 1909. The 1909 Model T Ford is recognized as the first model year for this revolutionary vehicle.
