North American Grocery Chain Enlists Master Builders Solutions for Major Flooring Remodel
One of the giants in the grocery world reached out to Master Builders Solutions to repair, replace, and update floors in locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Common challenges for this grocer’s properties include the need to deal with heavy foot traffic, safety concerns (slips and trips), and local health department regulations. Heavy foot traffic necessitates a floor that stands up to long-term wear and tear. Safety concerns demand a textured floor that encourages grips, not slips. Hygiene issues are resolved by flooring that resists bacterial growth. 120 locations have been replacing worn-out floors in 2021 with MasterTop and Ucrete products. 200 more locations are expected to replace flooring in 2022 with more to come. It never needs to be waxed, or stripped and is designed for retail, commercial, and industrial applications. It was the perfect choice for the most heavily trafficked areas, including aisles, as well as restrooms.
Ucrete is the proven flooring for any challenging retail environment. Ucrete UD200 SR was chosen to be applied under fryers and ovens. Service temperatures range from -40° to 302° F (-40° to 150° C) making this the perfect solution for such a need. Ucrete UD200 SR is also the obvious choice when worn floors cause safety concerns, or a local health department sites hygiene issues. It offers superior resistance to bacterial and fungal growth, is highly resistant to aggressive chemicals, while offering enhanced slip, impact, and abrasion resistance.
